Table bookings. Bookings are made through our booking provider, Tableo. When you book you provide details such as your name, contact details, party size and the date and time. Tableo processes this on our behalf.
Enquiries. When you send a catering or event enquiry, or contact us by email or WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to share — typically your name, email or phone number, and your message.
Cookies. We store your cookie choice in your browser and, only if you allow it, load the Google map on our Find Us page. See our Cookie Policy for details.
We use your information only to respond to and manage your booking or enquiry — this is necessary to take steps at your request and for our legitimate interest in running the restaurant. Any optional follow-up (such as a review invitation) is sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We use a small number of trusted providers: Tableo (bookings), Bolt and Wolt (if you choose to order delivery, on their own platforms), Google (the map and the reviews shown on this site) and Revolut (if you pay for a gift card). Messages reach us by email or WhatsApp. We never sell your personal data.
We keep your information only as long as needed to handle your request and to meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which it is deleted. Booking records are retained in line with Tableo’s settings.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time — for cookies, use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page; for anything else, just email us. To exercise these rights, email thespotmalta@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Maltese Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), idpc.org.mt.
